What would be your description of your game?

ēvolūTiō is a captivating Tactical/Strategy RPG that blends 2D pixel art with immersive 3D environments. Set in a Renaissance-inspired fantasy world, players engage in deep, AP-based turn-based combat while exploring a narrative full of intrigue, identity, and hidden powers.

How did development start? (Were there any key inspirations or ideas that drove you?)

Development originally began during my time at another Game Republic studio, Labrador Studios. After contributing to the early concept, I decided to continue the project independently under my own studio, ShotDash, to fully realize the creative vision. It’s grown significantly since then into something we’re really proud of.

Tell us about the team behind the game!

ShotDash is an indie game studio based in York, made up of passionate developers, artists, and writers. We focus on inclusive storytelling, tactical gameplay systems, and striking visual design. Our team brings together experience from both client and original IP projects.

What kind of experiences do you hope to bring players?

We want to offer players a world they can truly get lost in—where strategy, story, and exploration go hand in hand. Every choice matters, both in combat and in how the world unfolds around you. It’s about unmasking secrets, discovering your identity, and mastering a layered tactical system.
