Zombie Dog
What would be your description of your game?
Zombie Dog is a Zombie herding sheepdog game set in Yorkshire!
How did development start? Were there any key inspirations or ideas that drove you?
All the team has dogs and loves dogs, and at a sheepdog trial in Wales that I stumbled across on holiday I suddenly thought – this would be a good way to get rid of zombies, by herding them into dangerous machines and traps!
Tell us about the team behind the game?
I’m Richard Stevens, the creative director, and my CTO is Dave Raybould who is a game dev genius. We’re working with a couple of incredible artists to bring the dream of zombie herding to life.
What kind of experiences do you hope to bring players?
Herding zombies into machines, traps and various physics-based mayhem should feel fun and rewarding – and players will immediately retry levels in order to improve their time or pick up additional style points. The game is also framed by a meaningful and warm-hearted Yorkshire narrative about people overcoming isolation and re-discovering their self-worth.
In 10 words or less, highlight the appeal of the game?
Zombies, death and sheepdogs – what’s not to love?
