UrbX Warriors by Brazen Gameplay

What would be your description of your game?

UrbX Warriors is an Action-RPG inspired by 80s and 90s RPGs and classic arcade games. Our focus is on pure gameplay!

How did development start? (Were there any key inspirations or ideas that drove you?)

Development started a year ago when Tony Warriner (Revolution) and Stoo Cambridge (Sensible Software) met at the Zzap! Live show and decided to team up and write a game! We wanted to apply everything we’d learnt about development across our 40 year careers in the games industry to create a modern game but with retro gameplay vibes.

Tell us about the team behind the game!

Tony Warriner began writing 8 bit games in the 1980s and went on to co-found Revolution Software, designing and coding notable adventure games, such as Broken Sword and Beneath a Steel Sky. Stoo Cambridge is a renowned pixel artist, working on such esteemed titles as Sensible Soccer and Cannon Fodder.

What kind of experiences do you hope to bring players?

Action, exploration and puzzle solving when an UrbX exploration runs headlong into a demonic hellscape!

In 10 words or less, highlight the appeal of the game!

High energy arcade RPG action with no IAP/DLC distractions!
