What would be your description of your game?

EMITIME is a rhythm-based deck-building game – where music is your strategy! EMITIME combines rhythm, deck builder, and grid-based strategy to create something unique, and enjoyable! Perform attacks and move around the grid to the rhythm and activate your skill cards to defeat enemies!

How did development start? (Were there any key inspirations or ideas that drove you?)

When I first created EMITIME, I was inspired by Hi-Fi Rush, an innovative game that combined rhythm mechanics with traditional action gameplay, I decided that I would like to create a game that also combined rhythm mechanics with another genre, and that began the development of my rhythm-deck builder, EMITIME!

Tell us about the team behind the game!

EMITIME is developed by Otterweave Games Studio, a studio owned by a solo game developer – Marco Ng! Marco previously worked on projects for different clients, and EMITIME is his first debut indie game project. In the past, he also got help from a friend on some UX/UI design on EMITIME, and he has been actively getting involved in the game industry, such as giving a talk at a game conference and working as an ambassador for a game industry charity.

What kind of experiences do you hope to bring players?

I would like to bring players an experience that could inspire them – we seek to bring up a smile on our audience through our games and motivate them!
