Crank the Code by Lee Ann Lord
What would be your description of your game?
Crank & Code is a logic puzzle game for the Playdate, inspired by the classic code-breaking board game, Mastermind. It’s designed to be a perfect pick-up-and-play experience that tests your deductive skills.
How did development start? (Were there any key inspirations or ideas that drove you?)
When I got a Playdate, I felt really inspired to design a game that had that addictive puzzle fun, utilising the unique traits of the playdate and had the artistic constraints of 1-bit pixel art. I had been sitting with this idea for awhile but had to wait until a good opportunity to get started, finally started development in September this year.
Tell us about the team behind the game?
It is just myself making this game, working on it whenever I can find the time.

What kind of experiences do you hope to bring players?
My goal is to offer players an experience that’s easy to jump into for a few minutes, but compelling enough to keep them coming back. I want to deliver that satisfying “just one more round” feeling.
In 10 words or less, highlight the appeal of the game?
Crack the code with a crank in this addictive puzzler.
Any links to access/wishlist the game?
