What would be your description of your game?
Penny Pusher Pirates is a cartoony, pirate-themed coin dozer adventure where players drop coins, win loot, and (coming soon) build their very own island hideout! With quirky encounters, puzzle quests, and a cheeky parrot sidekick, it’s a treasure trove of casual fun for all ages.
How did development start? (Were there any key inspirations or ideas that drove you?)
It started as a lockdown project with a love for those old-school seaside coin pushers—nostalgic, satisfying, and just chaotic enough to be fun. We wanted to capture that feeling and expand it into a world of charming pirates, treasure-laden encounters, and a buildable island that players could make their own. Inspiration came from classic arcade machines, mobile collectathons, roguelikes, and a sprinkle of Aardman-style humour.
Tell us about the team behind the game!
Industrial Assets is a small but mighty UK indie team with backgrounds in game development, animation, and digital design. We’re passionate about making games that delight, surprise, and occasionally make people laugh-snort. Penny Pusher Pirates is self-funded, made with love, and developed between client work and coffee refills.
What kind of experiences do you hope to bring players?
We want players to feel like they’ve stepped into a playful pirate world that’s just the right mix of cosy and chaotic. Whether you’re chasing loot, solving a puzzling encounter, or upgrading your island, we want every session to feel rewarding, whimsical, and hard to put down.
