GaMaYo#14 on Thursday 3rd May was another great event – part of Game Republic’s GameDevDay, partnered with the Leeds International Festival 2018 and kindly sponsored by Unity Technologies, PlayIgnite and Eaton Smith. More than 250 developers, platform-holders, special guests and festival attendees from Yorkshire and across the North came along to network, meet old and new friends, enjoy a drink and play more than 20 new games on-show from our developers. The showcase included new titles Beep! Beep! Deliveries from Team Pesky, Deflection Dimension from Ricoshot Games, Robo Basho from BetaJester, Hollowpoint from Red Kite Games, and other games projects in VR from Shuttershade Studios and a HoloLens chess game from Twelve Oaks Software.
Industry guests included PlayIgnite, Escape Technology, Amazon Appstore, Unity, BFI and more, with games companies present from Yorkshire, the North East and North West including Revolution Software, Sumo Digital, SigTrap Games, Cardboard Sword, Digital Pine, Sports Director, Cooperative Innovations, Alternative Software, Cupboard Games, Laser Dog Games and Sock Monkey Studios.
GaMaYo was also supporting the Special Effect charity again and a whopping £442.90 was raised on the night!
