What would be your description of your game?

Pilot your Space Salvage Corporation pod through colourful interstellar crash sites, avoiding hazards and defeat enemy drones, to fulfil your corporate overlords’ directives and earn a few credits. Spend your earnings upgrading your pod and progress up the SSC ranks. Space Salvage: Ship Happens is a darkly humorous, fun, 2.5D space flight, combat and refuse collection adventure game.

How did development start? (Were there any key inspirations or ideas that drove you?)

This game is the PC / console sequel to our previous VR game, “Space Salvage”. We wanted to bring Space Salvage’s darkly comic universe to the non-VR gaming world

Tell us about the team behind the game?

The team is led by Dr. Paul Tapper (commercial game dev since 1998, including Team 17, Gremlin & Infogrammes), along with Stefan Senior, Yasmina Fadel, Corrin Wilson, Peter Fox and Amy Hoang.

What kind of experiences do you hope to bring players?

We hope players will have a fun, relaxing, amusing, challenging, and entertaining time, exploring the 30+ levels in SSSH, clearing up space junk, “retiring” rebellious droids, competing in races and challenges, earning credits to upgrade and customise their pod, and earning promotions as they please their corporate overlords.
