Trash City Turbo, by Machinefun
What would be your description of your game?
A twitchy, skill-based ‘sweep-em-up’ in a cyberpunk world where you fight to protect your honest living of street sweeping from a ruthless, global corporation.
How did development start? (Were there any key inspirations or ideas that drove you?)
Full development started in late 2025 and it was borne of Shaun’s Concept Art that sought to make functional, working class vehicles the vibrant heroes of a futuristic fiction. Those early concepts continually drew praise and admiration so, when we decide to take a risk and invest in on our own abilities, the world of Trash City Turbo was the obvious choice. We’ve worked in established studios of all sizes but get the most enjoyment out of projects that are imaginative yet carefully scoped and laser-focused on the player. We want our games do what only this medium can do – pull the player into an imaginative world where they’re inputs are treated as a VIP. We want to champion these ideals with our work and make something that is memorable and fun without taking itself too seriously.

Tell us about the team behind the game?
We’re a pair of ageing, industry devs that haven’t yet quashed that dream of taking a risk on something truly personal. Shaun is a Concept Artist and ardent fanatic of the masters of sci-fi and horror, constantly pumping out his own unique creations for the world to enjoy. Mark is a multi-disciplinary Designer and Programmer with a love for tight game-feel and control systems that are instantly satisfying whilst begging to be mastered. We’re putting all our years of experience behind Trash City Turbo to make it a unique, vibrant and tightly packaged game that puts player experience above everything else and doesn’t over-reach.
What kind of experiences do you hope to bring players?
