GaMaYo is shaking things up with its roundtables, offering developers a refreshed platform to dive into a wide range of topics. The new format features sessions from developers Machine Games, exploring “Simplifying Designs and Trusting Simple Systems for Great Game Feel”, DevroomVantasia, discussing “How to Be an Art Designer When You Can’t Draw”, Stuffed Crust Studios, presenting “Using AI Code Tools as an Indie Developer”, and INFINITY27 delivering “Why You Aren’t Getting Hired: Hard Truths for Aspiring Developers.”
The event, which is the largest and friendliest gathering of indie game developers in The North and one of the largest in the UK with 40+ new games and 300+ game developers, will also see roundtables from Eaton Smith (legal support), marketing in China with Kinephantom, and Plus Accounting offering financial support and guidance, alongside publishing tips and opportunities from Epic, Xbox, Curve, Devolver Digital and Silver Lining as well as pitching insights from Pitchify and Kudos Games looking at why great QA makes better games. GaMaYo takes place on 21st May at Project House Leeds.
