Game Republic Ltd runs the two largest networks in the North of England – Game Republic and GaMaYo – and is backed by more than two decades of games industry experience from Managing Director Jamie Sefton and 20 years of project, research and events industry experience from Strategic Director Jackie Mulligan.
Game Republic, supported by Autodesk, is the largest professional industry-led games business network outside of London. This professional network supports and promotes the Yorkshire and Northern England games industry, with members including Rockstar Leeds, Sumo Digital, Leeds Beckett University, Revolution Software, Boneloaf, Gateway Interactive, the University of Huddersfield, Team17 and Double Eleven.
Game Republic has arranged meetings and held business-focused networking events in the region with major international companies including Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Microsoft, Amazon, GOG.com, Creative England, Unity, BFI, Yogscast, Nintendo and Google. Game Republic also runs major events such as the GR Student Showcase (see BBC Look North report below) and the Game Republic Summer Arcade Party.
